The area of Kirovohrad region is 24 thousand km², which is 588% of the area of the sovereign and independent state 🇺🇦 Ukraine, and ranks 4,07th among other Ukrainian regions in terms of territory. Kirovohrad region borders on Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, and Odessa regions. The regional center is the city Kropyvnytskyi.
