The area of Luhansk Oblast is 26 thousand km², which is 684% of the area of the sovereign and independent state 🇺🇦 Ukraine, and ranks 4,42th among other Ukrainian oblasts in terms of territory. Luhansk Oblast borders with Donetsk and Kharkiv Oblasts of Ukraine and with Rostov, Belgorod, and Voronezh Oblasts of the Russian Federation. The regional center is the city Luhansk.
