The area of Poltava region is 28 thousand km², which is 750% of the area of the sovereign and independent state 🇺🇦 Ukraine, and ranks 4,76th among other Ukrainian regions in terms of territory. Poltava region borders on Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Cherkasy regions. The regional center is the city Poltava.
