The area of Volyn region is 20 thousand km², which is 144% of the area of the sovereign and independent state 🇺🇦 Ukraine, and ranks 3,34th among other Ukrainian regions in terms of territory. Volyn region borders on Rivne and Lviv regions of Ukraine, in the west with Poland, in the north with Brest region of Belarus. The regional center is the city Lutsk. Large cities and towns in Volyn region: Ratne, Kovel, Horokhiv, Novovolynsk, Tsuman, Volodymyr, Ivanychi, Kivertsi, Turiysk, Rozhyshche, Lyubeshiv, Kamin-Kashyrskyi, Shatsk, Manevichi, Stara Vyzhivka, Lyuboml, Berestechko, Ustyluh, Blagodatne, Lyublynets, Torchyn. Volyn region consists of four districts: Volodymyrskyi district, Kamin-Kashyrskyi district, Kovelskyi district, Lutskyi district. Large regional water bodies: Pripyat River, Western Bug River, Turia River, Stokhid River, Styr River, Svityaz Lake, Shatsk Lakes.
